By working with Edroe, you agree to these rules and to our full Terms and Conditions of Trade (available on request).
1. Hire and payment
Minimum hire is 4 hours. A full day hire is up to 8 engine hours – extra hours may be charged.
You pay all hire charges, GST, delivery/collection, fuel, cleaning and any consumables (e.g. blades, stones).
If you do not have a trade account, you may have to pay a bond. The bond may be used to cover damage, loss, cleaning, fuel or extra hire.
Trade account customers must pay by the 20th of the month following invoice. Interest and collection costs may be charged on late payments.
2. Your responsibility for the gear
You are responsible for the equipment from when it leaves us until it is returned or collected.
Make sure the gear is suitable for your job and that you understand the instructions before use.
Only competent people may use the gear, and it must be used safely and in line with the law and any instructions or labels.
You must keep the equipment clean, fuelled, lubricated and in good condition.
You are responsible for any loss, theft, damage or destruction of the gear while on hire.
3. Fuel, cleaning and consumables
All equipment must be returned full of fuel, or a refuelling charge will apply (as noted on the hire form).
Equipment must be returned clean. Cleaning charges apply for muddy/dirty returns.
You pay for consumables and worn items (for example, blade or stone wear, or other parts that are blunted or used up).
4. Breakdowns, damage and loss
Stop using the gear immediately if there is any problem or damage.
You must phone us straight away to report any breakdown, damage, loss or theft.
Breakdowns caused by misuse or neglect do not shorten the hire period and may be charged.
For theft or major damage, you must assist with any investigation, including a Police report if requested.
5. Delivery, collection and off‐hire
Delivery and collection can be arranged and will be charged as quoted.
You authorise us to bring our vehicle onto your property or site to deliver or collect equipment. We are not responsible for site damage from this.
To finish the hire, you must phone us to off‐hire the gear and arrange return or collection.
We usually need up to 3 working days’ notice for collection. Late notice may mean extra hire charges.
Hire charges continue until the gear is returned or collected and is fit for re‐hire.
6. Ownership and our rights
All equipment remains the property of EDROE Contracting at all times.
Do not sell, lend, mortgage, modify or tamper with the gear, and do not remove any identification or labels.
If you do not pay, breach the rules, or become insolvent, we can end the hire and enter the property where the equipment is kept to repossess it.
7. Safety and site responsibility
You are responsible for safety on your site and for anyone using or affected by the equipment.
You must use appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment) as required for the gear.
Make sure any equipment transported on your vehicle/trailer is properly secured – you are liable for any damage or injury caused if it falls or is
not restrained correctly.
8. Privacy and credit
We may collect and use your details to check credit, manage your account, enforce our rights and let you know about our services.
You can ask to see and correct the personal information we hold about you.
If you sign as a guarantor, you are personally responsible for all money owing if the hirer does not pay.
